Save the dates, invites, RSVPs... How does it all work?

SAVE THE DATE
Save the Dates are a great way to let your guests know about your wedding in advance so that they can plan accordingly. They are especially important if you have guests who need to travel, or if your wedding is taking place during a busy time of year. Generally, Save the Dates should be sent out six to twelve months before the wedding date, or sooner if people will be travelling!

INVITATIONS
Traditionally, wedding invitations are sent out 6-8 weeks before the wedding date. However, if you have guests who need to travel, you may want to send out invitations between 3-6 months in advance, to give them time to make arrangements.

RSVP
It's important to give your guests enough time to respond. Most people will need 2-3 weeks to respond, so you should set your RSVP deadline at least 4-6 weeks before the wedding date. PRO TIP: If you don't know when to set the RSVP, check your catering contract for when they need to know the menu choices by.

🌎 SAVE 🌎 THE 🌎 PLANET 🌎
Want to make life easier, cheaper and better for the planet? Use a wedding website for all of the above. You won't regret it. If you really want to give someone a paper keepsake, we recommend doing it with personalised Thank-You cards - receiving a handwritten note always makes someone feel special!

Rosie Leigh Events is happy to design your wedding website for you for just $350 CAD! This includes website design, sending save the dates, invitations and collecting RSVPs. That's three less things off your list!
