Swansea Mountain Residential Wedding
Anyone who’s spent time in Invermere or the surrounding areas has spent some time hiking, mountain biking, or maybe even skiing at Swansea Mountain. It’s our “backyard playground” that has something for everyone. Oh - and it has some of the most stunning views of that the valley has to offer. Don’t believe me? See for yourself!
The beautiful views from Swansea Mountain in the Columbia Valley deliver us the goods every, single, TIME!
A Classic Columbia Valley Home
Sara & Alex’s family have a beautiful property in the Columbia Valley, close to the base of Swansea Mountain. They decided to use their home space to create the perfect day.
Home Transformation
Taking the blank canvas of a residential property and transforming it into an event space is no easy task. That’s why it’s always best to hire a planner to make sure you don’t miss anything, and a coordinator to ensure everything goes to plan!
Sara & Alex hired a tent, chairs, tables, plates, cutlery, glassware and more!
myth debunked!
People often assume that having a wedding at home will reduce costs, which can often be true, but in fact there are many other factors to consider. You will need to organise hiring someone for tent installation, tablescape setup & teardown, bartenders, a caterer, garbage removal, porta potties and more! There are many more moving parts than at your average wedding venue.
Family fun in the Columbia Valley
There’s nothing more heartwarming than having the kids run around barefoot in the yard, and that’s exactly what was achieved by having an at-home wedding. Everyone felt comfy, relaxed and ready to have a fun time!
Flowers & Pups
S&A opted to do homegrown flowers for their special day, which were beautifully captured with their wedding party and pets alike!
Columbia Valley Spring
June is becoming the most popular month to get married in the Columbia Valley due to the milder Summer weather. By avoiding the hot Summer months, you are almost guaranteed to get perfect photo lighting, as S&A did!
